Overview 

Purpose: To analysis the host response at differing viral doses over several days post infection.

General Design:

Used 20 week-old C57black6 mice
A/VN/1203/04 H5N1 was used.
Three Doses = 100, 1000, & 10000 (PFU)  
Time points of 1, 2, 4 and 7 day post infection
5 mice/time point for infections
3 mice/timepoint for time matched mocks
Lung tissue was harvested for both RNA and Protein analysis
Protein samples from this experiment were used to build the AMT tag database used in the quantitative proteomic analysis.

In addition to microarray analysis and global proteomics, we have the following metadata.

  • Animal survival
  • Animal weight loss
  • Viral load in lung tissue derived from plaque assays
  • Relative amounts of viral RNA (qPCR assays)
